About
A price record, not a review mill.
WhatItCosts publishes source-backed cost records across technology, home, property, life, digital work, services and motoring. Each record separates the subject's status from the price evidence, so a reference price is never mistaken for a live local offer.
What you can expect
A dated observation, a named source and a link to it. Specifications that come from the manufacturer or a documented reference, not from an invented benchmark. A clear label when a number is an estimate rather than a retail price.
We do not fabricate products, prices, offers, citations or evidence. When a field is not known, it is omitted or shown as unavailable.
What this is not
It is not a shop, a checkout or a live price comparison engine. It does not claim a retailer will honour a price. It is not a substitute for checking the seller's terms, warranty, tax, shipping or return policy.
Independence and advertising
There are no affiliate links and no sponsored placements in the published records. A record's position in a guide or comparison is an editorial judgement about the documented trade-off, not a paid ranking.
This build does not load an advertising script. If advertising is enabled later, it will be labelled, kept away from utility and legal pages, and separated from editorial decisions. Advertising will never change a price, a source or a ranking.
Corrections
If a price, specification or source is wrong, tell us which record and which field is affected. We will re-check the source, date the correction and update the record rather than quietly deleting the history.
