A bentwood lounge chair with a low back, sold as a frame and cushion in two flat packs.
The POÄNG low-back armchair is a lower, more open version of IKEA's long-running bentwood chair. The frame is layer-glued birch veneer with a stained finish, and the cushion uses a polypropylene supporting fabric with a removable cover. IKEA sells the frame and cushion as two packages, so assembly is required. It is an affordable accent chair rather than a full-size recliner, and the low back gives less neck support than the classic high-back POÄNG.
