How to read a Dubai hotel price

Average daily rate is not your bill. Taxes, breakfast, occupancy and cancellation terms change the number you pay.

ADR is an industry average, not a quote

Average daily rate (ADR) is the average room revenue per occupied room across a set of hotels. It excludes taxes, resort fees, breakfast and the room type you actually book. Use it as a market indicator, not a booking price.

Seasonality and events move the market

Dubai hotel prices respond to peak season, exhibitions, holidays and weekends. A market average for the first half of the year is not the price of a specific night.

Refundable and non-refundable are different products

A non-refundable rate is cheaper because you carry the cancellation risk. If plans may change, compare the refundable rate and the cancellation deadline, not just the lowest headline.

Room type, view and occupancy

A city-view room, a sea-view room and a suite are different products. Check whether breakfast and access to the pool or lounge are included, and whether the price is for one or two guests.

Compare the total stay cost

Add taxes, fees, breakfast, parking and transfers. A cheaper room rate with a paid breakfast and a resort fee can be the more expensive stay.
